Catalogue offer statistics

We count visible RAL and Pantone purchase offers without adding a visitor cookie or storing an IP address or email in this counter. A temporary random receipt per page load prevents duplicate counting. PayPal passages and confirmed sales are counted from existing payment orders. The private dashboard displays totals by product, price and day, without customer contact details. Visits to the intermediate checkout page are also counted in aggregate, at most once per product and price within 30 minutes per existing checkout session and day. This uses the technical session already required to secure payment. We also count requests received from the payment button, successful redirects and technical errors by day, product, price and language. These counters store only fixed categories and technical codes, with no IP address, email, order identifier or raw PayPal response. Standard hosting security logs remain separate.

Campaign click totals

The main catalogue link in future newsletters uses a shared campaign link. We add clicks to a campaign counter without recipient identifiers, measurement cookies, IP addresses or individual event records in that counter. Repeat clicks count again. Recognised automated requests are counted separately. Visits to the intermediate checkout page are also counted in aggregate, at most once per product and price within 30 minutes per existing checkout session and day. This uses the technical session already required to secure payment. We also count requests received from the payment button, successful redirects and technical errors by day, product, price and language. These counters store only fixed categories and technical codes, with no IP address, email, order identifier or raw PayPal response. Standard hosting security logs remain separate. Preferences and unsubscribe links are excluded.

Optional individual newsletter measurement

With your optional agreement, we associate opening signals and clicks on the newsletter’s main button with your email address and the edition sent. A signed link records an authorised click, then redirects you to the advertised page. No email address is placed in the link. An invisible image measures image loading, which may be automatic. The private dashboard shows these signals, their dates and measured-cohort rates to improve our content. Known automated requests are separated. This does not prove human reading, and clicks do not prove a purchase. The choices are off until you agree in My preferences; newsletter signup alone is not agreement to measurement. Withdrawal stops recording and clears the corresponding individual signals. Records are kept no more than 90 days. Your PDF and subscription do not depend on measurement.

Your choices

The form offers one combined action: receive the free PDF and subscribe to the Toutes les couleurs Thursday letter. By entering your address and submitting the clearly labelled button, you request both. The subscription starts immediately, without an additional email confirmation. The letter includes colour tips, offers and partner product recommendations, including affiliate links. You can unsubscribe at any time; your PDF download remains available until its link expires. Previous PDF-only requests do not become subscriptions automatically. We do not give your address to these advertisers.

Data and retention

We keep your email, language, request date, source page, and, if applicable, the wording and dates of consent, subscription activation and withdrawal. Resource-only and unconfirmed addresses are deleted after 30 days without a new request. Newsletter records are kept for at most three years after subscription activation or withdrawal. A new subscription starts a new period. Delivery messages are removed from the sending queue within 30 days. Our hosting provider processes these records to operate the service.

Short-lived hashed network identifiers help limit abuse; the newsletter does not store raw IP addresses. Aggregate daily counts measure requests and confirmations. No email address is sent to external analytics. Through the Preferences link in our emails, you can optionally choose interests and allow measurement of email clicks and reading on our site. A separate optional choice allows an image pixel to measure opening signals in future newsletters. Both choices are off by default and can be withdrawn in Preferences. Images may be loaded by mail providers or security services without a person reading the message, so an opening signal is not proof of reading. Individual opening, click and reading records, and private copies of attempted messages, are retained for at most 90 days. Authorised site administrators can view these signals alongside the recipient address; aggregate campaign statistics do not reveal addresses. Unsubscribe and delivery status records help respect your choices. Popup impressions, requests and confirmations are linked for up to 90 days to compare invitation settings, without cross-site tracking. Suppression records prevent sending after a verified bounce, complaint or unsubscribe request for up to three years. Standard server security logs are separate from these signup records.

Browser preferences

A session cookie protects forms and remembers actions during the visit. Local browser storage remembers when you close the popup (7 days) or request the kit (90 days), to avoid repeating the offer. These preferences are not advertising identifiers.

Your rights

You can unsubscribe using the link in our emails. To access, correct, delete or export your data, withdraw consent, or request a restriction, contact the address above. Withdrawing consent does not affect earlier lawful processing. You can also contact your data protection authority, including the CNIL.
