WARM COLORS
|
| Warm colors |
The warm colors, hence the name, remind us directly to heat unlike COLD COLORS which represent freshness.
Orange is the hottest color on the color wheel. Opposite, the complementary color blue is meanwhile the coldest color (see complementary colors).
The red and yellow and their shades are in the transition zones of the WARM COLORS.
The red shaded pull towards violet while the yellow shifted toward green.
Decoration, warm colors produce a foreshortening. They give an impression that the rooms are smaller and friendly they really are.
